1. Introduction

Daily Brain: Mind Workout ("we", "our", "the app") is a cognitive training application. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

2. Data we collect

We collect only the minimum data required to provide the service:

Email address — for account creation and authentication. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address (and, where provided, your name) from that provider
Password — stored as a bcrypt hash, never in plain text (not applicable when signing in with Google or Apple)
Training progress — results, streaks, achievements, and training history
App settings — language, theme, notifications (stored locally on your device)
Profile data — name and avatar (stored locally on your device)
Purchase history — subscription status, processed via Google Play or Apple App Store
Crash logs and diagnostics — crash reports and app performance data collected via Firebase Crashlytics to fix technical issues
Device identifiers — anonymous device identifiers collected via Firebase Analytics for usage statistics

3. Data we do NOT collect

We do not collect location data
We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID) for advertising purposes
We do not sell, share, or distribute your personal data to third parties for marketing
We do not use cookies or web tracking technologies

4. Analytics and crash reporting

We use Firebase Analytics (by Google) to collect anonymous usage data such as app opens, screen views, and game completions. This data helps us improve the app. Firebase Analytics may collect device identifiers and usage statistics in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. Personal data (name, email) is not sent to Firebase.

We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic data to identify and fix technical issues. Crash reports may include device model, OS version, and app state at the time of the crash. Personal data is intentionally excluded from crash reports.

5. AI-generated weekly summary

When you request your weekly recap, our server sends a small set of anonymous, aggregated training statistics — such as the number of sessions, average accuracy, current streak, and training category names — to Anthropic (the provider of the Claude AI model) to generate a personalized text summary. We do not send your name, email, or any other identifying information. This processing is governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy. The generated summary is returned to your device and cached for the week.

7. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on a secure server with an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. We take reasonable security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access.

8. Data retention

We retain your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app, which will permanently delete all your data from our servers.

You have the right to:

Access your data via the app
Delete your account and all related data at any time
Edit profile information in the app
Submit a deletion request via gobraintraining.com/delete-account if you cannot access the app

10. Subscriptions and payments

Daily Brain: Mind Workout offers optional paid subscriptions. All payments are processed securely through Google Play or Apple App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information. We use RevenueCat to manage and validate subscription status; RevenueCat receives a randomly generated app user identifier and your purchase/transaction status (not your payment details), in accordance with RevenueCat's Privacy Policy. Subscription management and cancellation are handled through your device's app store settings.

11. Push notifications

With your permission, we may send daily training reminders to help maintain your streak. You can enable or disable notifications at any time in the Profile settings. We do not use push notifications for advertising or marketing.

12. Children's privacy

Daily Brain: Mind Workout is intended for users aged 13 and older. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
