ABOUT BRAIN TRAINING

Free, evidence-based
cognitive exercises

A growing library of brain workouts you can play in your browser. No sign-up, no ads, no paywall — just the science of cognitive training, made accessible.

📍 Mission

Brain Training exists because the most effective cognitive exercises — the ones used in psychology labs and elite-performance training — are usually locked behind paywalled apps or buried in academic papers. We translate them into clean, browser-native interactive exercises that anyone can use, free, in five minutes a day.

We don't promise that brain games make you a genius. The research is honest: specific training improves the specific skills it targets (processing speed, working memory, semantic precision), with modest measurable transfer to fluid reasoning. That alone, applied daily for a few weeks, is worth doing — and we make it easy.

👁️

Focus

Reaction time, Schulte tables (cosmonaut training origin), sustained attention.

📖

Vocabulary

Synonym selection, definition matching, semantic precision drills.

🧩

Logic & Puzzles

🧪 The science

Every exercise on this site is built around a cognitive task with at least one published study in mainstream psychology research. We cite the underlying paper on each exercise page so you can verify the claim yourself.

Honest disclosure: "Brain training" is sometimes oversold by commercial apps. We don't claim our exercises will raise your IQ, prevent dementia, or replace formal education. We DO claim that specific cognitive skills — mental arithmetic, working-memory span, reaction time, vocabulary depth — measurably improve with consistent practice. That's what these exercises target.

💎 Our principles

  • Free forever. Every exercise is free, no sign-up required. The mobile app has an optional premium tier for advanced analytics, but nothing on this site is paywalled.
  • No ads on play pages. Display ads exist elsewhere on the site to keep the lights on, but never on the page where you're actually doing an exercise. We don't want to distract you from your workout.
  • No tracking beyond basics. We use Google Analytics for aggregate traffic stats. No personalized ad profiles, no cross-site tracking, no data sold to brokers.
  • Real interactivity. Every exercise runs natively in your browser as a real game, not a static description. Click "Play" and you're in.
  • Cite the source. Where an exercise is based on academic research, we cite the paper. Where it's based on a classic puzzle book (Sam Loyd, Dudeney), we cite the book.

📱 Mobile app
